Check-In at 8:00 a.m. ~ 5K Race starts at 9:00 a.m.
Step Up for KIDS is the signature fundraising event for the Kansas Infant Death and SIDS Network, bringing families and communities together to honor, remember, and make a difference.
Join us for a meaningful morning featuring a 5K Run and Memorial Walk, along with family-friendly activities and time to connect.
Registration includes a T-shirt (for those registered by March 31, 2026), children’s activities, and brunch.
Event Schedule:
7-8:00 a.m. – Volunteers arrive
8:00 a.m. – Check-in, registration, and packet pickup begins
8:30 a.m. – Children’s activities begin
9:00 a.m. – 5K Run and Memorial Walk begin
10:00 a.m. – Brunch
10:15 a.m. – 5K and team awards
10:30 a.m. – Explore Old Cowtown Museum

This scenic riverside 5K course begins and ends at Old Cowtown Museum, 1865 Museum Blvd, Wichita, KS 67203.
Can’t join us in person? Participate virtually from Saturday, April 4 through Saturday, April 25, 2026, on a course of your choice.
Simply register online, then submit your race time and photos through the KIDS Network platform. Participants who would like a T-shirt shipped may do so for an additional $5.00 shipping fee.

Awards
Step Up for KIDS invites individuals and teams to take part in the 5K and memorial walk—coming together to honor, remember, and make a difference. Participants can compete for the following awards:
5K Awards:
Top three overall finishers will be recognized in the following categories: adult men, adult women, youth boys, and youth girls. The race will be professionally timed by Timer Guys.
Team Awards:
The Grand Team Award will be presented to the team that raises the most funds, while the Largest Team Award will go to the group with the most participants. Teams must register under a single team name (for example, Reed’s Runners) to be eligible.
5K Awards:

Packet Pick Up
Pre-registered participants may pick up their packets at the KIDS office, 300 W. Douglas, Suite 145, Friday, April 24, 2026 from 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. 5K timing chips will be distributed with packets. Packets will also be available at check-in on the event day.
