19th Annual step Up for KIDS

Step Up for KIDS is the signature fundraising event for the Kansas Infant Death and SIDS Network. Step Up is a 5K run and Memorial Walk. Registration includes a **T-shirt (if registered by April 10, 2022), Children's Fair, and memorial bubble release.

In Person Participation:
This scenic riverside 5K course begins and ends at Old Cowtown Museum, 1865 Museum Blvd, Wichita, KS 67203.
  • Ages 12 years and older are $25 ($30 after March 31, 2022).
  • Ages 2 - 11 years are $15 ($20 after March 31, 2022).

*Please note masks are required when indoors and when social distancing is not attainable. Masks will be provided.

Virtual Participation:
Participate virtually from Saturday, April 2, 2022 thru Saturday, April 30, 2022, on a course of your choice. Register online and the KIDS Network will prompt you to load your race times and photos.
  • Ages 12 years and older are $30 ($35 after March 31, 2022).
  • Ages 2 - 11 years are $20 ($25 after March 31, 2022).
Packet Pick Up
Pre-registered participants may pick up their packets at the KIDS office, 300 W. Douglas, Suite 145, Friday, April 29, 2022 from 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. 5K timing chips will be distributed with packets. Packets will also be available at check-in on the event day.

Awards
Individuals & Teams
5K: Both adult men and women and youth boys and girls will be awarded for top three overall finishers. All youth will receive a participation award. Timer Guys will time the event.

Team: The Grand Team Award will go to the team that has raised the most money.

Door prizes will be given away during the Memorial Walk. All registered participants (runners and walkers) are eligible, but you must be present to win. Reminder: Incomplete registration information, including the liability waiver, will exclude a participant from awards.
Step Up for KIDS invites individuals and teams to participate in the virtual 5K and the virtual memorial release. Teams can compete for the Grand Team Award by raising the most money. Participating teams must register under one team name, for example Reed's Runners.

Memorial Bubble Release:
Everyone is invited to participate in the memorial bubble release in memory of all babies that have died too soon. The bubble release is scheduled immediately following the Memorial Walk. If you want your child's name to be read during the memorial bubble release, please stop by the DJ tent/table and add your child's name to the list.
